Private Dog Training

Master Of Puppies provides private dog training on the Gold Coast, led by Will, an ex-military dog handler with extensive hands-on experience in obedience training and behaviour modification.

We apply proven military-style training principles and adapt them to real-world pet dog behaviour, helping owners develop calm, obedient, and well-mannered dogs in everyday environments.

Rather than relying on quick fixes or short-term results, our approach focuses on lasting behavioural change. This includes improving communication between dog and owner and building reliable real-world obedience that holds up at home, outdoors, and in public settings.

WHAT TO EXPECT

All training sessions are conducted exclusively at one of our two professional facilities: Master Of Puppies HQ Gold Coast or Master Of Puppies HQ Gleneagle.

Each location provides a controlled, purpose-built environment designed to support focused learning, ensure safety, and deliver consistent training outcomes.

We work with dogs of all ages, from young puppies through to senior dogs. As experienced dog behaviour specialists, we address both obedience training and behavioural challenges, including aggression, reactivity, anxiety, and general training difficulties using calm, structured, and evidence-based methods.

The focus is always on building real-world obedience and long-term behavioural change, ensuring your dog responds reliably at home, in public settings, and under distraction.

WHAT WE FOCUS ON IN THE FIRST 5 SESSIONS

In the first four sessions, the focus is on building real-world control, calm behaviour, and reliable obedience while strengthening the bond between you and your dog.

Training follows a structured, practical approach that develops essential foundations, including:

• Loose lead walking
• Reliable recall
• Holding positions under distraction
• Boundary training and impulse control
• Calm behaviour around dogs and people
• Core obedience development alongside early behaviour correction, including reactivity tendencies

These foundations are designed to create lasting behavioural change and give your dog the structure needed for more advanced obedience training. Progress is always tailored to your lifestyle, your goals, and your dog’s individual temperament.

Ultimately, the goal is simple: to develop calm, confident dogs and capable owners who can achieve consistent results in real-world situations.

STRONGER BONDS. BETTER BEHAVIOUR. REAL RESULTS.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many training sessions does my dog need?

Most dogs start showing clear improvement within the 5-Session Fundamentals Package. However, the exact number depends on your dog’s age, behaviour issues, and consistency at home. Some dogs may require ongoing support for more complex behavioural problems.

Do you train aggressive or reactive dogs?

Yes. We specialise in working with dogs showing reactivity, aggression, anxiety, and behavioural challenges. Training is conducted in a controlled environment using calm, structured methods focused on safety and long-term behaviour change.

What age should dog training start?

Training can begin as early as 8 weeks of age. Puppies benefit greatly from early obedience and structured learning, but we also train adolescent and senior dogs.

How quickly will I see results?

Many owners notice improvements within the first 1–2 sessions, especially in handling and basic obedience. Long-term behavioural change depends on consistency, practice at home, and the severity of the issues.

Do you offer private dog training in Gold Coast and Gleneagle?

Yes. All Private Dog Training Gold Coast sessions are available at both our Gold Coast HQ and Gleneagle facility, by appointment only.
