Dog Training Gold Coast

What age should my puppy start training?

As early as 10 weeks. Puppy Bootcamp is built for puppies aged 10 to 20 weeks, which is the window where confidence, engagement and impulse control are easiest to build and hardest to undo later. If your puppy is already older than 20 weeks you haven't missed the opportunity — dogs from around 6 months move into Doggy Bootcamp or private training instead.

What's the difference between Puppy Bootcamp, Doggy Bootcamp and private training?

Puppy Bootcamp (10–20 weeks) is a small group course covering foundations — engagement, communication, impulse control and manners — plus our Puppy Confidence Obstacle Course.

Doggy Bootcamp (6 months and older) is also small-group, and covers loose lead walking, recall, holding positions, social neutrality and general obedience around real-world distractions.

Private training is one-on-one and suits any age. It's the right choice if you're working on something specific — reactivity, aggression, fear, anxiety, poor impulse control — or if you want advanced obedience tailored to your own goals.

Not sure which fits? Send us a short description of your dog and what's going wrong, and we'll tell you which program we'd recommend.

Is the First Day Assessment compulsory?

Yes, for every new dog at both locations. It's a full day ($70 for one dog, $120 for two) where we assess temperament and how your dog handles other dogs, the environment and our staff. It protects every dog in the facility, and it tells us how to place your dog in the group. You can't book a daycare pack until it's done.

Do you train reactive or aggressive dogs?

Yes — this is core work for us, not an exception. Reactivity, aggression, fear and anxiety are handled through private training rather than group classes, so your dog isn't put under pressure it isn't ready for and other dogs stay safe.

Your trainer assesses the behaviour, identifies what's actually driving it, and builds a plan around that. We've taken on plenty of dogs whose owners were told they were untrainable.

Do I need to attend, or do you train the dog for me?

You attend. We train dogs and we train owners, because skills that don't transfer home aren't skills. Expect to be handling your own dog and getting coached through it. By the end you should be able to keep making progress without us.

Where does training take place? Do you come to my home?

All training is delivered at our own facilities — the Gold Coast HQ at 60 Export Drive, Molendinar, or our farm at 118–126 Veresdale Scrub Road, Gleneagle. These are controlled, purpose-built environments, which means fewer variables and faster results than a session in your living room.

Clients travel to us from across the Gold Coast and South East Queensland.

How much does dog training cost?

Private training is $220 for a single session, or $890 for a five-session pack. Puppy Bootcamp is $300 and Doggy Bootcamp is $550. Daycare starts at $70 for a single visit, with packs bringing that down to $55 a day at 20 visits. Two-dog rates are available on every option — full pricing is listed above.

What vaccinations does my dog need?

Every dog attending daycare or group training must be up to date on its C5 vaccination, with proof provided before the first visit. Puppies can start Puppy Bootcamp once their vaccination schedule is underway — send us your vet records and we'll confirm.

How long before I see results?

Most owners notice a change within the first two sessions, because the first thing that changes is usually the handling, not the dog. Lasting results depend on what you do between sessions. A dog with an established behaviour problem takes longer than a puppy learning it right the first time — we'll give you a realistic timeframe at assessment rather than a number that sounds good on a website.
